GENERAL INFORMATION ON JURYING
1. Four (4) paintings must be submitted-
2. Each painting must be matted, framed (under glass or plexiglass), and be wired for hanging.
3. The following portion of our purpose explains what can be used for your KWS application:
The purpose shall be to educate the members, as well as the community, to the understanding and acceptance of watercolor and water-media as a significant art form. For this purpose, watercolor/watermedia is defined as the use of aqueous media applied on paper or paper-mounted board and left unvarnished.
4. Have each painting identified with your name, address and telephone number on the back of the painting
5. On separate note paper, number your painting titles and write a brief content statetment about each one
(ie. your idea/vision . . . what your painting is about).
KWS JURY – A POINT SYSTEM ON THE FOLLOWING STANDARDS OF EXCELLENCE IS USED
1. Content–originality of idea/vision
2. Composition–effective use of elements and principles of design
3. Craftsmanship–effective use and technical proficiency in fully developing the work
4. Consistency–the works submitted are comparable in proficiency
5. Presentation–overall presentation reflects a professional approach
